It's a perfect area for exploring on foot, with many paths to choose from, and there are lots of cycle routes, too. If you've pitched at Dawleys you're also within reach of the Forest of Dean and, on the Welsh border, the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, both of which make fun days out.The city of Worcester is about a 20-minute drive from Dawleys Caravan Park. Visit the impressive cathedral, the Elgar Birthplace Museum and the Museum of Royal Worcester. Cheltenham is about half an hour away down the M5. Enjoy a day at the races, go to the annual Cheltenham Literature Festival, ride the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway and take in the impressive town hall. And while in Worcester it's all about Elgar, down the road in Cheltenham another composer is remembered, Holst. Nearby Gloucester is also well worth some of your time and the striking cathedral is a popular attraction.
