Wyre Country Park is situated in a gorgeous elevated position on the River Wyre in the rural, peaceful village of Staynall. The elevation allows for views of the winding river, glorious sunsets and bracing fresh air. Wyre Country Park is within close proximity to the historic market town of Poulton-le-Fylde with its historic Stocks, thought to be 18th century and St Chad's Church, the Market Cross, Fish Stones and Whipping Post, probably 17th century. Altogether 15 buildings or structures in the town have been given Grade II or ll* listing by the Secretary of State for Culture. Poulton also offers individual, character shops and a wide range of restaurants. In addition the park has views of the Bowland Fells and is within an hours drive of the Lake District, Garstang, Lancaster, Lytham St Annes, and Blackpool to name a few, and has good motorway access within 15 minutes should you choose a day out in Chester, Manchester, Leeds or further afield.
