West Shore Park is located in one of Cumbria's breathtaking areas of outstanding natural beauty, West Shore Park is spectacularly set on the shores of the Irish Sea. This large retirement park (50+) is situated on Walney Island which is connected to the mainland at Barrow-in-Furness, with its extensive local amenities, by a road bridge. An adjacent beach and 18 hole golf course provide additional facilities.
The town centre of Barrow-in-Furness with excellent shopping facilities is a short 3 miles journey away either by car or the regular bus service which departs from the park entrance. There are free buses to two local supermarkets. Many local tradesmen and businesses call on the park. Pets are considered (one dog or one cat) at West Shore Park.
It's just 50 minutes drive to the M6 via the A590 so there is easy access to both Scotland and the rest of England and Wales. With its great seaside location the park is also ideally situated for regular trips to the beauty of the Lake District. Coniston Water is around 30 minutes away and Ambleside and Windermere less than an hour away.
