Within three miles of the park are the nearest beaches, and a half-mile away is the historic village of Minster. Additionally, Wayside is a thirty-minute drive from Dover, a seaside town where you can also board a ferry to Calais.

In the southeast corner of Kent, the Isle of Thanet offers miles of golden beaches. If you prefer, you can visit one of the picturesque villages set in the scenic countryside around the area.
