About Shorefield Country Park’s Location


Shorefield Country Park can be found towards the South edge of Hampshire, close to the community of Downton, and close to seaside and coastal walks out at Milford-on-Sea and beyond.  The park is also close to the Solent, for riverside and waterway trails, as well as access across to the Isle of Wight.


The park is at the edge of the New Forest, an expansive green region which many may wish to explore while walking dogs or taking family out and about.  The park’s position between forestry and coast may appeal to many people looking for breaks in the region.  Communities in Barton, Highcliffe, New Milton and Everton are all likely to offer daily amenities, facilities and services outside of the park.


The park is straightforward to reach via the B3058 heading adjacent to the Barton on Sea golf course, and down from the nearby village of New Milton.  New Milton is also home to a train station, meaning that any visitors keen to explore the region without a car will only have a short distance to travel.  It is possible to reach the park via the Southern edge of the New Forest, heading through Hordle and connecting down onto Everton Road.  GPS and signposting will also help visitors find their way to and from the park with ease.
