Residential Park (find out more here)
Recently developed residential park for people over the age of fifty, Shillingford Park is a great place to settle down in. Winning the coveted David Bellamy Conservation Award four years in a row means that this park is a wonderful place to move to if you're looking for a quieter pace of life.
Owned and run by Graham and Sonia Evans, Shillingford is occupied all year round by likeminded neighbours, which means you benefit from the peace and quiet as well as having close friends and neighbours. If privacy is important to you then every inch of the space at Shillingford has been designed to offer maximum privacy to occupants there. A ten year Gold Shield warranty is provided with all the new builds here, so you don't have to worry about things going wrong and having to pay out to get it sorted.
Although there are no garages currently in planning for Shillingford, each house is provided with a tarmac car parking space next to it. The quiet streets and wide, open roads also allow for visitor parking without any worries about disturbing other people or getting in the way. Occupants are also permitted to have one small metal shed on each plot - as long as it meets the maximum size requirements enforced by the park managers. Each household is allowed one small pet, at the discretion of the park owners. Other than that, the houses and plots are free to do with as you wish so you are really able to make this park your home.
For those of you who are more concerned about security, Shillingford Park has you covered. All of the internal roads are newly tarmacked and there are small low level lights fitted every few feet. This means that you will have the benefit of lighting without having to worry about the harsh overhead glare that some streetlights can cause. Each light is also motion activated so they are there to light your way and you can be aware of movement outside of your own home. Further still, the park is gated and can only be accessed via a remote control. Each resident will be provided with a remote to allow them to open the gates with ease. There is a keypad on the outside of the locked gates as well, so visitors can access the community without too much difficulty. The gates remain open throughout the day but are closed and locked at night to provide maximum security and comfort for those inside. This is where having a remote sensor and keypad facility will come in useful - for those coming and going out of hours.
Nearby there is the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, with stunning views and breath taking landscapes. At Shillingford Park, you don't have to remain isolated within the gated community, we encourage all of our residents to go out and explore the wonderful scenery surrounding them. There is also the nearby town of Tenby, including a golf and bowling club. This is perfect for those people who want the quiet life of a gated community but aren't prepared to give up their leisure time.
