Saltmarshe Castle Park nestles in woodland on the grounds of Saltmarshe Castle, which was a country house and estate first owned by the Higginson family and then latterly, the Barnaby family in 1946. Saltmarshe Castle itself was demolished in 1955 but original parts of the outer walls and turrets have been preserved, together with various outbuildings, stables, ice house and cider wheel, offering a historical, picturesque and unique place to live.

The nearby market town of Bromyard, just 2.5 miles away, provides the local doctors, dentist, optician and vets along with the local butchers and Co-op Food. The pretty little town also offers Gardens to explore as well as travel links to neighbouring towns and cities, including Hereford, Worcester, Gloucester and Leominster, via the local bus services in Bromyard. Famous for its black and white villages the Borders region of Wales is open for exploration.
