Residential Park (find out more here)
Lone Pine Park occupies a lovely woodland spot, with mature, evergreen pine trees providing a stunning backdrop to the residential park homes. Located on 14. 5 acres of land, the park can trace its history back over 100 years when it was first used to house the larger caravans that were then commonly referred to as ‘living vans’. These days the park once fully developed, will boast in the region of 175 park homes.
An amazing location
The park is reached via a leafy residential road, on the outskirts of the Dorset town of Ferndown, with many of the large houses lining the road looking like they are for millionaires only. Being 100 years old, the park actually pre-dates most of these homes and enjoys a great spot, on the edge of heathland and overlooking an upmarket golf course. In fact, some of the homes with golf course views have sold for in excess of 500,000.
Residents can walk off the site directly onto the heathland, which is perfect for a daily walk.
A relatively small town, Ferndown boasts all the amenities you’ll need, such as GP and dental surgeries, plus a range of shops and several large supermarkets.
There’s a regular bus service, with a stop close to the park entrance. This provides access to popular seaside resorts like Bournemouth, which is home to nearest major hospital.
It’s a family-owned park, owned and run by Mark and Sally Barney.
Since buying the park in 1984, there has been a development programme that has seen many new homes added, as well as upgrading of some of the park’s infrastructure.
