Residential Park (find out more here)
Highland Retreat Park is a residential park benefitting from an attractive setting north of the village of Watten in Caithness, north east Scotland. It is situated close to Loch Watten itself having panoramic views of the Loch and is ideally located for fishing, bird watching or sightseeing.
There are a number of popular tourist attractions within a 20 minute drive from the site, such as the Castle of Mey and the Old Pulteney Distillery in Wick. Alternatively, for a historical and wildlife tour of the East coast of Caithness, we recommend Caithness Seacoast.
Our beautiful modern homes are spacious, comfortable and fully equipped with all of the facilities you would expect and with all of the refinements you deserve.
Caithness has often been described as “The Lowlands beyond the Highlands”. “Spectacular” is the best description of the coastline where high craggy cliffs alternate with peaceful harbours. Along the coast are a number of Heritage Centres which tell the story of these Northlands, of the local Clans and of the Viking influence.
Wick and Thurso are the two main centres of the area, both with a good selection of High Street shops. There’s also Wick Heritage Museum, telling the story of this 19th-century herring “boom town”.
The county offers a wide range of outdoor activities. Water sports and sea angling, hill walking, bird watching, boat charter, wildlife cruises, golf, fishing are just some of the activities on offer here. Caithness really is a spectacular county with a special atmosphere of its own.
