Haveringland Hall, based near the picturesque village of Cawston, is a leisure park designed to bring people closer to the wonders of southern England.  Norfolk is a county which deserves to be explored at leisure, and as such, moving to the coast or countryside will be a dream come true for many people.

For access to beautiful walks, traditional seaside fare and true English heritage, the park promises to be a secure home like no other.  Whether you are new to Norfolk or have been exploring the region for many years, there are plenty of great reasons to arrange a viewing at this wonderful park resort.

About Haveringland Hall

Haveringland Hall Park is designed as a spectacular, idyllic private development.  It is open to anyone seeking to spend their retirement years venturing around the Norfolk coast, as well as to those who feel the county and its many towns and villages have lots they'd like to uncover.  Certainly, the village of Cawston on its own is worth visiting, however, let's focus on the park itself, to begin with.

This development is nestled deep within some of the lushest and most verdant countryside that England has to offer.  Even from your own front door, you will be able to spy unspoilt landscapes and panoramas for miles around.  It is ideally located within a staggering 150 acres of greenery, making it a genuine escape from the cities and towns bustling elsewhere.

The park itself is passionately maintained and was designed to offer privacy and peace, as well as to bring like-minded people together.  Haveringland Hall is built on the principles of getting away from it all - however, as you'll soon discover, it is still very closely linked to many local attractions and sites of interest.

This lovingly landscaped development is a secure park resort, which means it is also one of the safest places to retire to in the county.  There is a sense of majesty in the grounds - meaning that it really can feel as though you are moving to your own private corner of paradise.  This rural development is a neighbourhood which is always ready to welcome people looking for a quiet escape to the heart of Norfolk.  Whether you want to get out and see the best that Norfolk has to offer, or if you are simply looking for a curious hideaway in the heart of the English countryside, Haveringland Hall has much on offer to inspire you.

Haveringland Hall Location

The parks spectacular location is second to none.  For walkers and hikers, there are miles of trails and wonderful green and wooded walks right outside the private grounds.  For those who like the simple pursuits in life, there are private fishing lakes based near the park, as well as a handful of golf courses where you can join as a member. Norfolk's many celebrated waterways and attractions are just a stone's throw away, with the park being openly linked to public roads for ease of access to and fro.

Situated just far enough away from wider civilisation for it to be considered genuinely idyllic and peaceful.  However, if you do wish to explore the wider area, you are only a few minutes away from the A140, which will connect you to and around Norwich, the closest city to the park.  While Norwich isn't too far away, you will never feel the effects of the hustle and bustle.  The location and design of this park really do have to be seen to be believed.

As mentioned, it is based just a few minutes away from the village of Cawston.  This traditional Norfolk locale was once a major hub in the English woollen trade, and there are lots of points of heritage for you to take in.  Beyond this, the village is an open and welcoming community, with all the amenities and sites of daily interest you will likely need.  Do take a look at local restaurants, pubs and shops.

Exploring the Local Area

While Haveringland Hall itself is a wonderful park location and is stunning all on its own, there are plenty of great reasons why you should take the chance to explore wider Norfolk.  Here are just a few of the local sites of interest you may wish to explore at your leisure.

The Norfolk Broads

No visit to the county is complete without a trip to the famous Broads.  This National Park celebrates the incredible waterways of Norfolk, and despite actually being man-made, it never ceases to be visually stunning. Norfolk's own tourism board refers to the Broads as being the 'Venice of the East', with more waterways to explore than the famous European city.  Certainly, if you're keen to explore the Broads once you move in, you're going to need to make a few trips to take it all in.

Boating is a must on the Broads. Don't worry if you don't have access to your own transport, as you can hire a private vessel before you depart.  Despite the surrounding countryside being wonderful to explore on foot, the best way to experience the Broads is by taking to the water itself.  Along your gentle route, make sure to take in the local wildlife, as well as to moor up and explore the many towns and villages based en route.  The Broads really do cover a lot of ground, and perhaps more than you'd otherwise imagine.

Seaside Fun

The Norfolk coast and seaside is very much celebrated, not just locally, but across the UK.  Offering traditional seaside fun at resorts as diverse as Hunstanton, Cromer and Wells-next-the-Sea, making a break to the local coastline will be a super day out for all ages.  There is also plenty of history in these sands, and the towns they back onto, which means it's well worth diving deep into the local heritage after you've been for a saunter on the shore.  Cromer, in fact, is part of what the Norfolk tourist board refers to as the 'Deep History Coast', where you'll stand to discover more than just wave-licked beaches and fish and chips.

The Norfolk coastline is famous for its links with the RNLI, as well as its ancient architecture dating back to the 14th century and earlier. It's also home to majestic locations such as the stunning Cromer promenade and pavilion, where you'll be able to take in a show or two at the theatre-based here.  Only a short trip from Haveringland Hall, you could have access to all of these seaside wonders on your doorstep.  What a great way to combine the wonders of the countryside and coast!  Norfolk has it all.

Stately Property

Norfolk is also home to a number of wonderful stately home properties, which you'll be able to tour and learn more about.  Perhaps the biggest and most famous home of note in the region is the grandiose Sandringham Estate, which you may know as Her Majesty The Queen's country getaway.  Certainly, even from the outside alone, it is clear to see that the grounds are fit for a regal visit.  However, you can explore much of the grounds on your own with a ticket.

You may also want to take in the nearby Blickling Estate, shrouded in glorious parkland and, again, with much open for the public to take a look around.  This stately home is protected by the National Trust, and it boasts extensive artwork in its private gallery, as well as over 12,000 books in its library.  This mansion estate dates back to Jacobean times, and it still stands as one of the most opulent and astounding country homes Norfolk has to offer.  There are regular events which take place here, meaning you will be able to take in different art exhibits and celebrations from season to season. It's all the more reason to move nearby.
