Description

Golden Leas Holiday Park is in Kent; the area offers miles of beautiful countryside and coastal walks and is also brimming with history and heritage.  The park, based in Minster on the Isle of Sheppey, is one of the most popular resorts in the county.  The entire park offers holiday homeowners the chance to get closer to some of Kent's most famous views and attractions.  The park provides couples, families and solo holidaymakers an excellent opportunity to break from the norm.

Golden Leas covers three different caravan parks for holidaymakers.  Estuary View, Hollybush Farm and Golden Leas itself are all holiday developments, while there is a residential park at Pear Tree Farm also on-site.  All parks have access to the main Golden Leas facilities, which means that while there are four separate communities here, the neighbourhood is still very close-knit.  It is worth exploring each park as they all offer a little different.  Estuary View, for example, is exclusively open to people over 50.

The parks at Golden Leas offer lovely sea views and plenty of access to some of Kent's best-loved attractions.

About Golden Leas Holiday Park

The four parks at Golden Leas each have something unique to offer.  Golden Leas park itself, for example, is ideal for families.  Static caravan slots and pitches welcome visitors who want to relax and enjoy active leisure during their stay.  For example, a handful of clubs, such as a kids' club on-site and an owners' club, have been refurbished in recent years.  There is plenty for children and families to do outside their pitches and properties.  Golden Leas has a football field, miniature skate park and play area on-site.

Estuary View is a section of Golden Leas that is perfect for retirees and couples over 50.  It is an exclusive community with a secure gate.  While Golden Leas itself may be aimed at families and is tranquil in itself, Estuary View is a little more laid-back, offering peaceful views over local waterside walks.  It is a fantastic luxury development that never struggles with noise or intrusion.

Hollybush Farm is another peaceful park visitors will find at the Golden Leas site.  It is a superb location for couples and families looking for holiday homes offering tranquil living and extensive coastline views.  Hollybush Farm is also conveniently close to Golden Leas, meaning that all visitors and homeowners have access to the same facilities.

Pear Tree Farm is a residential park that is also on-site.  This gated community is exclusive and is fully secure to all homeowners.

Golden Leas is a fabulous park development and resort with modern facilities, amenities, and full access to the best Kent offers.  Visitors and homeowners benefit from a full bar, exclusive clubs, an on-site shop, and a swimming pool.  As mentioned, there is also a football field which is perfect for a variety of different outdoor sports.

The park community offers secure static properties.  It is popular with many people visiting Kent, which makes it a viable investment for anyone looking to expand in the region.  Friendly staff and maintenance crews are on hand to support anyone on-site.  It is a park that continues to develop, meaning Kent visitors can look forward to more from Golden Leas in the coming years.

Golden Leas offers over 20 exclusive acres of parkland, making it comfortable and sizeable enough for most people to settle.  The properties and pitches here are closely linked; however, visitors are guaranteed privacy and discretion.

Golden Leas Location

Golden Leas is close to Minster on Sea and Eastchurch, two lovely communities close to Kent's North Coast.  It is far from the biggest roads, meaning anyone staying on-site will not have to worry about noise or light pollution.  However, it is still close to many local towns and villages and can found heading off Plough Road towards Minster.  Visitors need to head towards Eastchurch Road from the A2500, branching off from Eastchurch itself.

If travelling via the M2, visitors need to take junction five and the A249 towards Sheerness.  This will take drivers towards the Isle of Sheppey.  Park management recommends that, regardless of what sat navs advise, you always stick to Lower Road, passing via Brambledown and not turning left until you have been through the village.  For sat-nav purposes, visitors should use ME12 4JA as the destination postcode.

Golden Leas offers a keen balance between the countryside, coast and village amenities.  It has been set up so families and visitors can build their holiday memories with a wide choice of attractions and nature walks.  Visitors can stay at one of several parks and pitches and still have access to some of the best-loved trails in the area.  Moreover, all sites at Golden Leas are accessible via public transport.

Golden Leas visitors can easily find everything they need for their holidays from on-site shops.  However, it is not difficult to head out to local villages and towns just a stone's throw away.  The closest community is Minster itself, which is full of history and heritage, as well as lots of modern shops and amenities.

Visitors to any parks and properties at Golden Leas benefit from plenty of on-site attractions and facilities.  However, many people will also choose to stay here for the wide-open surroundings.  Anyone staying at the Golden Leas resort, or any of its parks attached, can look at the fantastic countryside and coast for miles around.  It is a holiday resort where nature lovers and photography enthusiasts will want to bring binoculars and cameras.

Golden Leas' multiple parks offer wonderful holiday experiences to all visitors.  The leading site has won several awards over the years and is well-known for its friendly approach.  The staff has set up a park that is easy to get to and from but which always feels far enough away from the hustle and bustle for genuine peace.  Kent is a peaceful county, which makes Golden Leas even more desirable.

The Local Area

Visitors and holiday homeowners should always ask site owners and staff for advice on what's available in the local area.  However, exploring the local beaches and nature trails isn't difficult.  Many visitors will appreciate that they can easily walk out of Golden Leas to explore towns and villages and the sandy shores to the North.

One of the most popular attractions in the area is the Elmley National Nature Reserve, a short drive or trip from the park.  It offers unspoilt walks around marshland and local habitats for birds and rare wildlife in the county.  It is one of the area's biggest natural sites of interest and is open across the year.  There is also the Swale National Nature Reserve, a smaller sister site that is over the East coast.

Visitors interested in local history may also want to look closely at Minster Abbey Gatehouse, an ancient building with its museum.  Visitors can tour the museum to learn more about Abbey's history and what Minster and Kent were like in centuries past.

Minster itself is also home to several stretches of golden sands.  One of the most popular is Minster Leas, though visitors will also find several banks and beaches leading across to Sheerness.  Anyone keen to look out over the water from up on high will enjoy the Saxon Shore trail, which is just a short distance from Golden Leas.

Towns such as Gillingham, Sittingbourne and Chatham are only a few minutes drive away, with the enormous Kent Downs just beyond.  This is a vast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and beyond here lies the popular towns of Canterbury and Margate.

Why Choose Golden Leas?

Visitors choose Golden Leas all year round for the variety of amenities and facilities.  Not only this, but visitors also have access to plenty of green and coastal walks, as well as some fantastic sites of natural beauty.  It is a beautiful area to visit to see local wildlife and flora.

This collection of parks offers something for everyone, in that the central park welcomes all visitors while quieter, more exclusive communities are also on-site.  For this reason, the estate is very popular with locals and tourists alike.  Should pitches be available, it is worth booking a viewing as soon as possible.

This Holiday Park is off the beaten track; however, it is easy to get to and from via B-roads and public transport.  Park management will always help to advise on getting around as well as on local attractions and day out ideas.  It is a well-maintained park with lots to offer Kent holidaymakers of all ages.
